New construction can be exciting, but the advertised price is rarely the entire decision.
What is actually included?
Start with the base price, then identify lot premiums, structural options, design selections, appliances, landscaping, window coverings and anything else you expect to have when you move in.
What does the timeline really mean?
Ask how construction milestones are handled, what can cause delays and what happens if the completion date moves.
Compare incentives carefully
Compare builder incentives with the total price, financing terms and what you would choose without the incentive.
Inspect new construction too
New does not mean there is nothing to inspect. A professional inspection can identify items that need attention before closing.
